EVENT HIGHLIGHT: Hiking Exploration will be for 2.5 hrs
AGENDA:
- The event will start from the designated spot to start our hike. There will be a briefing prior to the start our hike.
- The meet-up location will only be shared with the confirmed participants.
- A temporary WhatsApp group will be made for all the confirmed participants. And all the drive-related information will be shared there.
- This will be an excellent opportunity for you and your family to enjoy the UAE outdoors away from the hustle and bustle of day-to-day life!
- Don’t forget to bring your cameras, photography enthusiasts! The natural landscapes of the UAE mountain range are breathtaking, and there will be endless opportunities to capture the beauty of the sun set. So, keep your cameras ready—you won’t want to miss these unforgettable shots!
MANDATORY FOR HIKERS:
- Make sure you have a sturdy pair of sneakers or hiking boots. Something with ankle support is a plus. (No open shoes)
- Thick socks will prevent blisters.
- A hat and sunglasses.
- Head lamp or torch.
- Hiking poles help balance the load but aren’t necessary.
- Your medication (If required).
SAFETY:
- Pace yourself, take breaks if needed and try to stay with the group.
- Carry enough food and water. Consider 1/2 litre for every hour of hiking. Dried fruits and nuts are great source of quick calories.
- Stick to the planned trail. It is not a race!
COURTESY:
- Please pick up after yourself. No trash left behind.
- On tight trails, common etiquette is to give right of way to hikers headed up.
- Avoid loud music or shouting as a courtesy to other hikers.
- Carry enough water, fluids, snacks.
READ BEFORE CONFIRMING FOR THE DRIVE:
- The drivers of the 4×4 is required to possess a valid UAE driver’s license, and all occupants—driver, passengers, and vehicle—must be covered by suitable insurance.
- All occupants, including the driver and passengers, are expected to have acknowledged and understood Torque Converter’s disclaimer. This disclaimer absolves all Officials and Marshals of Torque Converter from any liability, placing full responsibility on the participants for any potential property damage, bodily harm, or fatality during their involvement in this adventure sport.
- It is mandatory for the driver and all passengers to wear seat belts at all times. Should there be any children accompanying the drive, they must be safely secured in an appropriate car seat or booster seat suitable for their age.
- Participation in this drive is not advisable for children under the age of 3.
